A Loss for RMU

As I looked at this morning's RMU webpage--catching up on news at the University while I am off--I was shocked to hear of the passing of one of my favorite people, Ron Faloona.  Ron was our athletic director for almost as long as I can remember.

He retired in 2003 but never really left. When I worked in academics, Ron was strong and supportive of our athletes' academic success.  When I worked in development, Ron was right there asking how he could help with our fundraising efforts.  When we planned our annual golf outing, Ron was part of our planning committee--even though he had long retired from the University.  This was a man dedicated to young adults and their ability to earn success while playing a sport they loved.  And he was dedicated to Robert Morris University.
