Two Sox Tickets...two boys
We have two tickets to two upcoming White Sox games--great seats! We had planned on having these be "date night" tickets, but with both our parents putting in overtime watching the boys during summer hours, we suddenly feel extremely guilty about asking them to let the boys spend the night. Instead, I decided that perhaps each boy could go to one of the games with their dad. They'd get some one-on-one time during a Sox game...what could be better for a father and son?
Now the dilemma...tomorrow night's game is perfect. Our older son will go with my husband. The game on the 15th throws a challenge with my husband being out of town for work. I could take my younger son to that game; however, I then have to ask one of our parents to take my older son to football (which the younger one will miss for the Sox). Overtime babysitting kicks in again. Plus, the younger one is the one that models himself after my husband, right down to wearing really low-rise socks just like dad! Spending time at the Sox game with me will not be the same for him.
There are, of course, options for trying to get this done...but our original plan of one-on-one time with dad has now gotten messed up...and I couldn't have a date night now if I wanted to!
